The problem of the COVID-19 pandemic that swept the world in 2020 is due, first of all, to the lack of prevention of acute respiratory infections and acute respiratory viral infections, which consists in the reorganization of the tonsils, as well as the large number of patients who underwent an operation (at most times without reason) at different times. – TONSILECTOMY.
Palatine tonsils are an important immune organ that is at the forefront of the entire immune system and provides the primary immune response to all pathogenic biological agents (PBA), including viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa, mycoplasmas, prions, genetically modified organisms, biological poisons origin (toxins), which, when ingested in a human or animal organism, can be a trigger for a clinically expressed disease.
Tonsils and adenoids perform a hematopoietic function, during which lymphocytes are produced – the main cells of the immune system that provide humoral (innate) and cellular immunity, which fights against foreign cells and proteins, including all types of viruses. There are three types of lymphocytes:
B-lymphocytes that recognize viral and other pathogenic structures, while producing specific antibodies directed against foreign viruses, etc .;
T-lymphocytes, the so-called T-killers, which carry out the destruction of cells affected by viruses and bacteria;
NK lymphocytes, which monitor the quality of body cells, in their properties that differ from normal cells, such as cancer cells.
Throughout the history of ENT practice, tonsillectomy and removal of adenoids is the most common surgical operation. The effectiveness of this operation is rather doubtful, and the consequences, as the history of COVID-19 has shown, are rather serious. The number of deaths could be many times less, and those who were ill could suffer this disease almost asymptomatically and in a mild form.
